Mrs. Sarah Mouton

Mrs. Sarah Mouton has been involved in classical education for over 20 years as a homeschooling parent, an educator, an AFA parent, or as a member of the AFA board. She received her Masters in the Great Books from St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland. Sarah and her husband Steve are members of Church of Our Saviour, Oatlands, where they minister in the children's education program. They have five children, three of whom attended AFA.

Mr. Hal Lindsey

Hal and his family have been a part of the Ad Fontes community for almost 20 years. He is the father of two AFA graduates from the classes of 2003 and 2007 and served on the Board of Trustees as both a member and a Board Chair from 2000-2009. Hal currently works for Jacobs Engineering as a senior portfolio and project manager. He and his wife Lauren attend Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg.

Mrs. Karen Dougherty

Mrs. Karen Dougherty is the proud mom of three adult children, the youngest of whom attended AFA from 9-12th grade. Karen is a Project Manager in the FHA Lending Department at Greystone Funding Company. She is a graduate of Bethany College, Bethany, West Virginia where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts/Theatre with a minor in Business. Karen and her family have been members at Sterling Orthodox Presbyterian Church for 25 years. Karen has been honored to serve on the AFA Board since 2021.

Mr. Sam Cox

Mr. Sam Cox Sam has served as an educator for over three and a half decades in an extensive career in six independent schools and three public schools across the nation. Sam has served in various capacities, including as a teacher, humanities department chair, cross country and track coach, Dean of Students, Upper School Head, and from 2001-2020 as Head of School at two different Christian classical schools: Faith Christian School in Roanoke, VA and Caldwell Academy in Greensboro, NC.

Mrs. Sandra Busching

Mrs. Sandra Busching helped launch Ad Fontes Academy by serving as teacher of the initial class of students in 1996. A graduate of Wheaton College (IL), Sandra holds a Masters degree in education. She taught and worked to develop the curriculum for four years at AFA before stepping away from the classroom to raise two sons. Sandra joined the staff of Rivendell School in Arlington in 2013, where she currently serves as Assistant Head of School for Administration and Communications. Mr. Kyle Perry

Mr. Kyle Perry first attended Ad Fontes Academy as a student in 2003 and graduated in AFA's Class of 2011. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction with a minor in Real Estate from Virginia Tech and has experience across several sectors of the construction industry. Kyle is currently the Director of Estimating at Jenkins Restorations, where he specializes in residential and commercial insurance restoration. He and his wife Mary Joyce, who is a fellow 2011 graduate of Ad Fontes, currently live in Centreville, Virginia. Kyle has served on the AFA Board since 2022.

Mr. Tim Holden

Mr. Tim Holden grew up in a farming community in rural Oklahoma and began his career in graphic design after graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma. His gifts in art led him to Africa to support Bible translation efforts as he served with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Tim has served as a frontline church planter in Western Europe as well as supporting roles in organizing systematic Bible training for West African pastors. Mr. Joshua McCroskey

After seven years in Hawaii, Joshua returned to his native Virginia in Spring of 2022 with his wife Johanna and their children Camilla and Louis. While in Hawaii, Joshua served as the Middle and Upper School Principal at Trinity Christian School in Kailua, Oahu's only classical Christian school. While there, he also taught humanities, science, and mathematics. Before accepting the invitation to serve as the Head of School at Ad Fontes, Joshua received extensive leadership development training for classical Christian schools through The Society for Classical Learning and the Association for Classical Christian Schools.
