Mrs. Susan Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from MIT, and has taught Math for over 25 years. She joined the Ad Fontes faculty in 2008, and has enjoyed teaching and developing curriculum, and since 2025 has served as dean of the Rhetoric School. This summer she returned to the ACCS conference to encourage other Classical Christian math teachers, specifically about using Euclid as the primary text for teaching Geometry.
Susan enjoys the harmony between the creative options for teaching and the rigor required to master concepts needed in upper-level classes. Her three youngest children are AFA alumni.
