Mrs. Natalia Muñiz

Mrs. Natalia Muñiz is starting her second year at AFA. She moved to Virginia last year from Texas, where she spent 5 years teaching upper school math at a classical charter school. A Miami, Florida native, she graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Engineering and Computer Science. Before teaching, she worked at a church for 10 years in multiple roles, including Director of Children’s Ministry and Director of Production. Mrs. Muñiz is excited to get to know more of the AFA family this year, along with her husband, Michael Muñiz, and 3 kids, a fourth grader, kindergartener, and 2-year-old. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, crafting, and building things. You will always find her taking on a new DIY house project or decorating a cake.
