Dean of Grammar School, Third Grade
Administrative Staff | Lower Campus Faculty
Mr. Landstrom is in his 15th year as a Classical educator and his 9th year at Ad Fontes Academy. His passion for Classical education began during his time at Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia, where he discovered teaching as a vocation. After graduating in 2012, he began his career at AFA teaching K–6 music and drama before moving into the 5th-grade classroom. He later spent several years in Pennsylvania, where he led an Anglican parochial school serving an underserved community outside Philadelphia.
In 2024, Mr. Landstrom returned with his family to Northern Virginia and to Ad Fontes. He now serves as Dean of Grammar School and 3rd-Grade Teacher–in addition to being a proud AFA parent! For Mr. Landstrom, teaching at AFA brings together vocation, family, and faith in a particularly meaningful way and allows him to continue the work of Classical Christian education in the school where his own teaching career began.
