Upper School Faculty
Ms. Maria Copeland is a 2022 graduate of James Madison University and is joining the Ad Fontes staff full time to teach composition, literature, and rhetoric. At JMU, she studied Media Arts & Design with a concentration in journalism and served on Reformed University Fellowship’s ministry team. A voracious reader, she has written and edited for a variety of publications and is currently an assistant editor at The Marginalia Review of Books. The eldest of 11 homeschooled children, Ms. Copeland brings a natural affinity for caring for and managing young people. Part of what excites her about teaching at Ad Fontes includes “encouraging people to study the character of God and strive for excellence that honors him.”
