As a classically educated home-schooled brother of five siblings, Mr. Finneas Buck has a lot of experience on the receiving end of a classical education. At Patrick Henry College, Mr. Buck received a classical liberal arts education, studying Government with a concentration in Political Theory. His senior year, he served as student body president for his school, in addition to serving as a resident assistant and a member of the worship team. Mrs. Linda Mathwin

Mrs. Linda Mathwin starting teaching at Ad Fontes in 1998. After staying at home full time to care for her three children for nine years, she rejoined the AFA faculty in 2010. She serves as Head of Rhetoric and teaches Senior Thesis, Classical Composition, and Upper level Literature. In addition, she taught 6th grade for three years in Mississippi and Literature/Composition at a local homeschooling co-op for four years. Mr. Nick Scheidemantel

A Northern Virginia native, Mr. Schediemantel brings both local roots and a passion for teaching to the classroom. He earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Liberty University and a Master’s in Church History from The Catholic University of America. He has taught Latin, German, and Greek, and is especially enthusiastic about language learning and helping students discover the connections between languages and cultures. Known to his students as “Mr. S,” his love for language acquisition and history shapes his teaching style, encouraging students to think critically and engage deeply with what they study.

Mrs. Natalia Muñiz

Mrs. Natalia Muñiz is starting her second year at AFA. She moved to Virginia last year from Texas, where she spent 5 years teaching upper school math at a classical charter school. A Miami, Florida native, she graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Engineering and Computer Science. Before teaching, she worked at a church for 10 years in multiple roles, including Director of Children’s Ministry and Director of Production.
