Coulter Weaver is Head of School and Upper School Principal for Ad Fontes Academy. Born and Raised in Virginia, Coulter spent most of his childhood growing up in nearby Catharpin. He committed his life to Christ shortly after graduating from high school. Coulter graduated from George Mason University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication. From there he went on to Western Seminary, studying the integration of theology and psychology, and earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Coulter later took Doctoral courses at GMU in Cognitive Psychology and Education. He is now part of an Ed.D cohort in Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Tech.
Over the past 30 years, Coulter has worked concurrently in education (International Baccalaureate; and Special Education) and in mental health (LPC and LMFT). He has also led church and parachurch ministries over the years, and recently became an ordained pastor. He and his wife Lauren have been married over 30 years and have two adult children, Colin and Caroline.
