Established: In November 1995, the National Christian Foundation for Education and The Arts Trust (now, the Ad Fontes Educational Trust) was founded with a goal of establishing one of the leading non-denominational, academically-rigorous private schools in Northern Virginia. Unlike many private schools serving Northern Virginia, fundamental to this education is the understanding that we labor in vain unless God directs our efforts – nisi Dominus frustra. This school would recognize that “each child is created in the image and likeness of God, the Creator, as a unique human being having a purpose for which he or she is created and is known by his deeds, by whether what he does is pure and right” and that “the knowledge and pursuit of truth, understanding and wisdom has the intended outcome of enabling the individual to fulfill the purpose for which he or she is created.”
