Jessica Johns is entering her second year of teaching Drama at Ad Fontes Academy. She completed her BFA in Performance at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has enjoyed work as an actor in commercials, film, and stage, and especially enjoys collaboration in the art of dramatic storytelling. Previously, in Richmond, Virginia, she was employed as a teacher, costume mistress, and administrator, at a local dance studio, and was able to further her performance study to include choreography and dance. She was also privileged to work as a substitute teacher at Veritas Classical Christian School, and embraced the Classical method of education as being the most beautiful and excellent framework on which to build the study of any subject. Ms. Johns teaches Drama to grades K-8 and Drama Appreciation as a Fine Arts credit in the Upper School. She has two daughters, Grace (11) and Audrey (6) at Ad Fontes Academy.
