The Ad Fontes Graduate

As you evaluate a school for your children, we encourage you to begin with a significant question, "What is the school's vision for their graduate and does it match our vision for our children?"

At Ad Fontes, we have established a specific description of our ideal graduate so you can honestly answer this question. This vision will drive all our efforts.

At Ad Fontes, we endeavor to prepare students who

  • Love God with all of their hearts, souls, minds and strength
  • Reason wisely, listen carefully, think precisely and articulate persuasively
  • Lovingly engage and influence culture with a Christ-centered worldview
  • Have a dedication and love for learning and scholarship
  • Possess the tools to live and think with truth, wisdom and independence

As we have asked alumni and their parents about their experience at Ad Fontes, these responses have been consistently shared. Our students graduated with:

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Tremendous breadth of knowledge
  • The ability to develop thoughtful opinions and defend ideas
  • The skills to study
  • A love for Christian community - the "espirit de corps" of students and faculty
  • The challenge and achievement of completing the Senior Thesis
  • The capability to think biblically

"How thankful I was for my teachers at Ad Fontes when I arrived at college. I had a good foundational knowledge of history, philosophy and literature. I had begun to understand how to interact with the ideas of the past and my current professors. And most importantly, my teachers had given me such a taste for wisdom that I was hungry. I had tasted and seen that the Lord was good. That, I suppose, is why I've returned to teach at Ad Fontes, to teach others to crave this feast. "
-- Rebecca Bollen, 2000 Ad Fontes graduate
